Flame-retardant Wires And Cables
Classification :
PRODUCT DETAILS
This product is suitable for power transmission in power lines with a rated voltage of 0.6/1KV and below. Flame-retardant wires and cables are difficult to ignite and have the ability to prevent or delay the spread of flames. They are suitable for laying in various situations where flame retardancy is required, such as high-rise buildings, hotels, hospitals, subways, nuclear power plants, power plants, mines, petroleum, and chemical industries.
Flame-retardant wires and cables refer to cables that, when burned under specified test conditions, have the characteristic of limiting the spread of flames to a limited area. After the ignition source is removed, the residual smoke and embers self-extinguish within a limited time.
Flame-retardant cable
| Flame retardant grade | Fire supply temperature | Fire supply time | Non-metallic material volume of bundled cables | Carbonization height | Self-extinguishing time | Applicable products |
| A | ≥815℃ | 40min | ≥7 liters/meter | ≤2.5 meters | ≤1 hour | Flame-retardant cable |
| B | ≥815℃ | 40min | ≥3.5 liters/meter | ≤2.5 meters | ≤1 hour | |
| C | ≥815℃ | 20min | ≥1.5 liters/meter | ≤2.5 meters | ≤1 hour | Flame-retardant cable |
| D | ≥815℃ | 20min | ≥0.5 liters/meter | ≤2.5 meters | ≤1 hour | Flame-retardant insulated wire |
Usage Characteristics
The rated voltage U0/U of flame-retardant cables is 0.6/1KV; the rated voltage U0/U of flame-retardant control cables is 450/750V; the rated voltage U0/U of flame-retardant wires and cables is 450/750V and below.
The long-term allowable operating temperature of PVC insulated cables is no more than 70℃; the long-term allowable operating temperature of XLPE insulated cables is no more than 90℃.
The ambient temperature during installation should not be lower than 0℃.
Minimum Bending Radius During Cable Installation
For flame-retardant wires with an outer diameter (D) less than 25mm, the allowable bending radius of the cable should not be less than 4D; for outer diameters (D) of 25mm and above, the allowable bending radius of the cable should not be less than 6D.
Flame-retardant and fire-resistant control cables: For cables without armor, the minimum diameter should be no less than 6 times the cable's outer diameter; for cables with armor or copper tape shielding, the minimum diameter should be no less than 12 times the cable's outer diameter.
