Irradiated Low-smoke Halogen-free Wires And Cables

Irradiation crosslinking utilizes high-energy beta rays generated by irradiation to form polymeric free radicals. These free radicals then recombine to form crosslinking bonds, transforming the original linear molecular structure into a three-dimensional network structure, thus achieving crosslinking.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Irradiation crosslinking utilizes high-energy beta rays generated by irradiation to form polymeric free radicals. These free radicals then recombine to form crosslinking bonds, transforming the original linear molecular structure into a three-dimensional network structure, thus achieving crosslinking.

Product Features

High Current Carrying Capacity: After high-energy electron beam irradiation, the molecular structure of irradiated crosslinked cables changes from linear to a three-dimensional network, increasing the temperature resistance from 70℃ (non-crosslinked) to 90℃, 105℃, 125℃, 135℃, and even 150℃. This results in a 15-50% increase in current carrying capacity compared to cables of the same specifications.

High Insulation Resistance: Because irradiated crosslinked cables avoid using hydrides as flame retardants, they prevent pre-crosslinking during crosslinking and the decrease in insulation resistance caused by the insulation layer absorbing moisture from the air. This ensures a high insulation resistance value.

Long Service Life and Strong Overload Capacity: Due to the high temperature resistance and high aging temperature of the polyolefin material after irradiation crosslinking, the service life of the cable is extended despite cyclic heating during use.

Environmentally Friendly and Safe: Because the cables use halogen-free environmentally friendly materials, their combustion characteristics meet environmental protection requirements.

Stable Product Quality: The quality of traditional warm water cross-linked cables is affected by factors such as water temperature, extrusion process, and cross-linking additives, resulting in unstable quality. In contrast, the quality of irradiated cross-linked cables depends on the electron beam irradiation dose, which is computer-controlled, eliminating human intervention and ensuring stable quality.

Irradiated cross-linked low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant wires and cables are difficult to ignite and have the ability to prevent or delay flame spread. They have strong overload capacity, and once ignited, they are halogen-free, low-smoke, non-toxic, and non-corrosive, making them suitable for applications such as high-rise buildings, hotels, hospitals, subways, nuclear power plants, tunnels, power plants, mines, petroleum, and chemical industries.

In addition to meeting the characteristics of irradiated low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant cables, irradiated cross-linked low-smoke halogen-free fire-resistant wires and cables can also maintain power supply capacity under fire conditions, exhibiting strong overload capacity. Primarily used in fire alarm systems, fire-fighting equipment, smoke extraction systems, and emergency facilities such as emergency exits and lighting in applications requiring fire resistance.

FAQ

What is the typical delivery time for cables? Can you expedite the delivery?

What is the typical delivery time for cables? Can you expedite the delivery?

Standard delivery times: ① Ordinary cables (e.g., YJV, VV series): 15-25 days; ② Specialty cables (e.g., high-temperature resistant, explosion-proof): 25-40 days; ③ Large-volume orders (over 10,000 meters): 30-50 days. Expedited delivery is available, subject to the following conditions: ① Sufficient raw material inventory; ② Customer payment of expedited fees (calculated based on the number of expedited days); ③ Expedited delivery can generally shorten the delivery time by 5-10 days, subject to confirmation with the supplier.

Who determines the HS code for exported cables? Does the customer need to confirm it?

Who determines the HS code for exported cables? Does the customer need to confirm it?

The HS code is mainly determined by the supplier based on the cable type and specifications (e.g., 8544.49 for power cables and 8544.70 for communication cables). However, customers need to verify that: ① the HS code provided by the supplier must be consistent with the actual cable specifications and the customs clearance requirements of the destination country; ② customers can verify the accuracy of the HS code based on their own customs clearance experience to avoid customs clearance delays, fines, or impact on tariff payments due to incorrect coding.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for exported cables?

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for exported cables?

Minimum order quantity (MOQ) depends on the cable type: ① Standard power and communication cables: MOQ is typically 1000 meters/model; this can be negotiated for bulk purchases. ② Specialty cables (high temperature resistant, explosion-proof, etc.): Due to complex manufacturing processes, MOQ is generally 500 meters/model.
